The Fetherlin Family

David and Debra Fetherlin have decided to send their third, sixth, and eighth graders to PCS this fall! We’re so happy to have them as part of the Warrior Family, and we wanted to share their story with you! We asked them to answer some questions about their experience at PCS, and this is what they had to share about their story.

They heard about PCS from several folks when they asked about school options in the area. However, it wasn't until their friend from church, Mike Desmond, told them about PCS that they decided to schedule a tour and find out more. They said, “It makes a difference when a parent speaks highly of a school to another parent!”

Before coming to PCS, they lived overseas and their children went to an international school. Last year they were able to move back to the US and their children did cyber school for the year.

When asked why they chose PCS they replied, “We wanted our three children to be part of a God-honoring community of teachers and students. We like how all three of them can be at the same school and enjoy the same community through their high school years. That continuity is a great benefit that PCS offers! The kids have had a lot of transitions over the course of their lives and we are grateful for stability!”

When asked how their experience at PCS has been different from past schools they answered, “We have never played dodgeball at a back to school night before… that was such a great way to welcome people to the community. We were really impressed by the high school students that served as tour guides and volunteers that evening.”

When asked what they would say to another family considering sending their children to PCS they said, “It's pretty early in our experience at PCS, but we have been grateful for the opportunity for our kids to connect and learn in this community. It's been a good experience so far!”
