Meet the Marshall Family!

Mark and Debbie Marshall’s family joined the Warrior Family in 2005, and their oldest son graduated in 2019, and they have a son in High school and a son in Middle school still. We’re so happy to have them involved as part of the Warrior Family, and we wanted to share their story with you! We asked them to answer some questions about their experience at PCS, and this is what Debbie had to share about her PCS story.

Why did you choose PCS for your child(ren)?
Growing up in the area, PCS had been placed on my heart many years ago. I prayed that when the time came for my own family that God would bless us with this choice. We desired to have our children educated at this small, private Christian school close to home. PCS surrounded us in love from the moment we stepped foot within its walls and instantly became part of our family.

What do you love most about PCS?
The PCS family. From the very beginning, our children were loved and taught from a Biblical worldview by gentle and loving teachers passionate for God.  The peace of knowing that our three boys have been immersed in strong academic teachings and character growth formed through this solid, well-rounded learning experience is beyond measure.

What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Legacy. A legacy is something intentionally or unintentionally created that will result in a positive or negative impact.  PCS has been intentional in their preparation of students for developing a heart for God. PCS is pivotal in molding students through the use of higher academic, spiritual, and social expectations. I believe this creates a positive, lasting legacy to those who desire a Christ-centered education for their family.

In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experiences at PCS?
Our oldest son graduated in 2019 and is currently enrolled at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. We have witnessed his academic knowledge and character development after 14 years at PCS shine like a beacon of light to his fellow classmates visible through his maturity and God-directed moral compass.

Our middle son is currently in high school. His development and growth in character at PCS can be witnessed by his servant-heart, eagerness to learn, and emerging leadership with each passing year. He desires to please and help those around him from lending physical support to a caring ear to those in need.

Our youngest son is currently in middle school. He is emerging as a servant-leader by sharing his zest and unique characteristics to encourage all he encounters. This is a direct reflection of his experience at PCS.

How is PCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
With the high-quality academic standards and broader range of activities and programs offered helps develop a well-rounded adult. This prepares each student for a vocation, technical/trade school, or college of choice and gives them a good foothold for future success through Christ.  Developing and encouraging Christian values and character through academic excellence, service, and love creates a vessel for God to use according to His purpose to serve, to learn, and to lead as the PCS motto states.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at PCS?
PCS can make a positive impact in the lives of your children and entire family.  This opportunity can forge learning, relationships, and experiences into their individual gifts and callings in life.  PCS is more than a school, it is a family. A family willing to walk alongside you in this formative season of your child's life.
