Mr. Eli Grove is joining the PCS faculty this year as a Bible teacher, and we are excited to introduce you to Eli! Eli is a graduate of PCS (actually he was the Valedictorian of the Class of 2017) and attended from grades 7-12. Eli earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Student Ministries and a Masters degree in Counseling from Geneva College. Eli will be teaching Bible 7, 8 and 11 this year. He says that he hopes his classes will challenge students to engage in their faith in deep and meaningful ways and have a lifelong impact on their lives.

When we asked Eli why he wanted to be a teacher, he replied, “I was deeply impacted by my teachers at PCS. I hope to have a similar impact on the next generation of students.” We agree; teaching—especially teaching at a Christian school like PCS—is indeed a great way to impact the next generation. Eli is also a Youth Pastor of First United Brethren in New Castle.

We asked Eli why he chose PCS, he replied, “PCS offers a unique culture that allows for deep relationships to be formed. I hope to help develop the culture of PCS in such a way that inspires students and teachers to be the best that they can be.”

As a current faculty member and a former recent student, Eli has a unique perspective on what PCS has to offer. When asked what he would tell a family considering PCS, he again pointed to something we agree is an extremely important factor in a healthy Christian school--the culture. “The culture at PCS will provide an opportunity to grow deeply in knowledge and in faith. It will also provide an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships that will last far beyond your time within the school. These relationships are invaluable and is something that is rare within high school cultures.” We couldn’t agree more, Eli!

Come out and meet Mr. Grove as well as other new teachers and students at our Back to School Fun Night on August 18 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. beginning in the gym.
