Meet the Peterson Family!

Heather and Jeremy Peterson’s family has been a part of the Warrior Family for 2 years! We’re so happy to have them, we wanted to share their story with you! We asked them to answer some questions about their experience at PCS, and this is what they had to say about their story.

Why did you choose PCS for your child(ren)?
We wanted a school where our daughter could learn about Christ and deepen her faith while getting a solid education.

What do you love most about PCS?
PCS has an incredible family-like atmosphere. Our daughter feels so comfortable there, and it is such a blessing to know that her teachers are praying with her and over her daily.

What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Dedication. The administration and  teachers have such a passion for teaching from a biblical perspective. It is evident that they care for our daughter personally and want to help her spiritually and academically.

In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experiences at PCS?
Our daughter, Julia, is now in first grade at PCS. She absolutely loves school! The smaller class sizes have really allowed her to feel comfortable. She has always been more of an observer and feels more at ease in smaller settings. Since being at PCS, we have seen her open up more. She feels safe, secure, and loved by her teachers and classmates. We are so grateful!

How is PCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
PCS provides a solid education that has really challenged Julia in such a positive way. She has grown so much academically! Even more so than that, her biblical knowledge and relationship with Christ is being strengthened at the same time. It's invaluable.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at PCS?
I taught for 8 years in the public education system. One of the biggest struggles that I faced was the fact that I had to walk a fine line when sharing my faith. I couldn't talk about my faith openly and pray with my students. There was nothing that we wanted more for our daughter than to be able to have teachers that could teach from a biblical perspective, pray with her, and share their faith openly. We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful Christian school close to home.
