Meet the Wise Family!
Elaine and Brad Wise’s family has been a part of the Warrior Family for 23 years! Their son Ryan is now a High School/College Bible and American Literature teacher at PCS, who has three sons of his own attending PCS! We’re so happy to have them, we wanted to share their story with you! We asked them to answer some questions about their experience at PCS, and this is what Elaine had to share about her PCS story.
Why did you choose PCS for your child(ren)?
God specifically led me to PCS using a wonderful chain of events. I served as a teacher, guidance counselor, BC3 professor, director of plays, and at times as a class advisor.
What do you love most about PCS?
It has been said so many times, but it truly is a family. Through good times and bad, I always had support. As guidance, I was privileged to assist students dealing with many serious issues, including the death of a parent, health issues for themselves, and many other events. Teachers and students always rallied around to help those in need.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
God-centered. All decisions, from serious to simple discipline, go first into the Father’s hand.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experiences at PCS?
I am privileged to still be in touch with some of our alumni who have chosen to involve me in their lives. From weddings to baby showers, from challenges to still being asked to write references, I love being a part of their lives!
How is PCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
I believe that PCS is a college preparatory school, but also encourages each student to use the gifts God gave them. For some, that is a trade school or the military as well. The foundation laid here is solid and prepares each individual student, because each student is individually known by the teachers, and their strengths are recognized and encouraged.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at PCS?
God’s mandate to parents is to teach our children in a Godly manner at all times and in all things. If God is calling you to enroll your child(ren) at PCS, He will provide.
