Elementary
The elementary years are an important time in the life of a child. It is during this time that basic beliefs, concepts, and life principles are formed. We focus in the elementary years on providing a safe, Christian learning environment where students can reach their full spiritual and academic potential. It is our desire to partner with parents to train and mold children to love, follow, and serve the Lord. The integration of faith and learning enables students to develop a biblical worldview to help them navigate the world around them.
Some highlights about the elementary academic program:
- All students have weekly computer classes in a lab dedicated to Elementary grades
- All grades have weekly specials in Art and Music
- All grades have PE in the gymnasium and students are responsible to come in proper attire
- Vocabulary is started in Kindergarten
- Math, Spelling and Reading are taught and developed starting in the 1st Grade
- Social Studies and cursive writing are introduced in the 2nd Grade
- Science is taught beginning in the 3rd Grade
- Bible is taught on a daily basis
- Students participate in the Terra Nova standardized exams in grades 1-6
