Sarah Slater

Sarah was a PCS Warrior from grades 6-12 and was a member of the Class of 2011. Currently, Sarah is using her passions and gifts to help others. She works as a Manager of Compliance and Development for a nonprofit organization which fights for human rights. When we caught up with Sarah, she had some thoughts to share on her time at PCS.

What have you been up to since your time at PCS? I studied at Houghton College in Western NY (International Development and Business Administration), Duquesne University (MA in Theology).

Accomplishments/milestones to share?  I graduated with a Masters of Arts in Theology, and I have presented at a number of conferences including the Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice and the Newman Studies Institute.

How did PCS prepare you for life after high school? For what you're doing now? Going to a small school was helpful in having me gain confidence in my ability to learn and speak about what I've learned. I also got a lot of public speaking practice because of the small class sizes.

Sarah added that she enjoyed her extracurricular activities and that she felt PCS prepared her well for writing in college and beyond. Sarah also had some additional, valuable feedback for administration about her experience at PCS. We are happy to hear from Sarah and wish her the best as she fights for human rights!
