Well Done Warrior: Liz

April 26, 2024
By Mary Barnes

Liz is one of our Class of 2024 graduates, and she has been at PCS for five years.  Liz has had many fond memories while at PCS. She says that she loved all the sports memories she made, such as the super-fun themed volleyball games and the Ohio tournament where the team mostly lost their games but still had a great experience. Liz also remembered that her class raised money for missions week and the reward was to play hide-and-seek in school, which was great until the reward was banned.

On a more serious note, Liz said that what she will miss about PCS is the good Godly community of people because everyone helped her to grow in her faith. When asked what she values about receiving a Christian education, Liz said, “I love, as I said, the Godly community we are surrounded with and the amazing education we get not only about God and Christianity, but about other things in that realm that we dug deeper into so we could better understand. Even the other subjects we learned were clearly taught, and we dug deep so that we could truly understand.”  When asked what the most valuable thing she has learned at PCS specifically, Liz replied, “I was honestly scared to have Mr. Wise this year, but it turns out I actually really enjoyed having his class this year and last year. I loved going through the book of Ecclesiastes. This year we have learned about different ways we can evangelize and approach people to help lead them to Christ and the gospel--it was very beneficial.” A meaningful scripture verse to Liz is Psalm 143:8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Liz had some advice for students in the grades below her. She said, “Keep pushing through. I know school may get boring or hard but in the end you will truly appreciate what you have learned and worked for. Time goes by fast, so before you know it, you will be graduating as well.”

This summer Liz will be working at a kids' camp and then plans to continue working at the nursing home where she is currently employed until she figures out where God is leading her.  We have no doubt that Liz will make an impact in the world serving wherever God leads her. Well done, Warrior!
